- Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.

The Civil Rights Movement first began as a peaceful movement aimed at the desegregation of all of America and the end to racism worldwide. it first started with Revolutionary leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr., Jesse Jackson, and Bayard Rustin.
It then changed towards more of an "Action Now" Movement, with leaders like Malcolm X, Huey Newton, and Bobby Seale. Malcolm's famous quote "by any means necessary" defind how they wanted to achieve their equality.
The Civil Rights Movement can be regarded as one of the darkest and brightest times of our nation's history.
